Sliding Scale
I offer a number of sliding scale spots in an effort to make therapy equitable. I have one sliding scale spot available as of May 2025. Sliding scale spots are not eligible for insurance reimbursement. These options are prioritized for individuals from communities that have been systematically excluded, marginalized, or impacted by legacies of enslavement, land dispossession, or genocide. I also welcome inquiries from people facing financial hardship due to structural economic inequity. As a small business owner in a high-cost city, I do have limitations, but I am committed to making space for those most impacted by systemic injustice.
I’m also a provider for First Choice Health EAP and the WA State EAP program. I believe it is important to make evidence based therapies like DBT more accessible to communities who’ve historically had a harder time accessing it; sliding scale and working with EAPs are two ways I do this.
Please see my Resources page for more information about lower cost therapy.
I am in-network with Aetna.
Otherwise, I am out of network. You may still be able to use your insurance to offset therapy costs. Clients often receive 30-90% reimbursement with out of network benefits, depending on their plan. Please note that parent coaching and couples therapy are usually not covered. A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) is available upon scheduling or upon request per the No Surprises Act of 2022.
You have two options to utilize your insurance benefits:
Submit Claims Yourself ("DIY" Option) – Pay in full, and I can provide a superbill for individual therapy that you can submit for reimbursement.
Use Thrizer for Reimbursement – I’ve partnered with Thrizer, a service that handles out-of-network claims and reimburses you directly. This is optional, and I do not benefit financially. If you qualify for out-of-network benefits, you can choose:
Standard Thrizer: Pay in full, and Thrizer submits the claim automatically. You’ll receive reimbursement when insurance sends it back (minus a 1% transfer fee).
Thrizer Pay: After meeting your deductible, Thrizer fronts the reimbursement amount, so you only pay your co-pay + a 5% fee at each session.
I’m happy to check your out-of-network benefits and help you determine what works for you! You are welcome to try the different options or change your mind at any time.
