If you’re living with a phobia, you might feel like your world has gotten smaller and more complicated—avoiding certain places, objects, situations, or experiences just to keep fear at bay. Maaaybe you've found ways to manage around it, but the fear still looms large. As with any anxiety, the harder we work to avoid the fear, the more powerful it becomes. Your brain is doing its best to protect you, but the alarm system is stuck on overdrive.
If fear is shrinking your life, it’s important to know that change is possible. In our work together, we'll use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you gently, bravely approach the things you've been avoiding. I'll support you in balancing courage with self-compassion, helping you learn that you can skillfully feel fear without needing to fix or obey it. You’ll practice moving toward what matters to you, even when anxiety tries to shout you down. Over time, you’ll find yourself freer, stronger, and more grounded—not because the fear is gone, but because it no longer runs the show. And if that feels far away right now, that’s okay—I’ll be with you every step of the way.
ERP is a gold-standard treatment and highly effective for phobias. Most clients see an impact within a few sessions, and can see long-lasting results in a few months.
