Bio

Hi there! Welcome!

I'm Natalie (she/her pronouns), and I practice therapy virtually for clients located in Washington State. I see teens 15+, adults, and couples/partners. I have been practicing therapy since 2020. For details on my therapeutic approach, please see my section on "Approach to Treatment".

I am independently licensed as a mental health counselor. My B.S. in Psychology is from the University of Washington (2018); my M.Ed. is from Seattle University's Clinical Mental Health Counseling program (2021). My clinical internship was at Center for Human Services. I spent a year as a DBT therapist in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient seeing individuals and teaching skills groups; this included treating people with concerns related to suicide, self-harm, and eating disorders. I am experienced at collaborating with other healthcare providers. I also have prior experience as a psychometrist, administering psychological assessments, and as a research coordinator, running an NIH-funded study out of UW's Department of Psychology.

I am encouraging, warm, and balance firmness with humor when working with therapy clients. I absolutely love being a therapist.

Having experienced my own struggles with mental illness, including being in recovery from panic disorder, is a huge part of my drive to reduce suffering in peoples' lives. I truly believe things can be better for you, even when you're not sure- there was a time I doubted recovery was possible for me, yet here I am.

My cats, Clementine and Merlin, are occasional guest stars in my therapy sessions. My favorite perk of teletherapy is getting to meet everyone's pets- I can't wait to meet yours!
